Card 4 – Welcome Baby Girl

30 Apr

Boyfriend’s sister is due any day now and she is having a baby girl. So I made this card to be ready whenever the baby decides to come. It is excessively pink and girly and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Ohhh Emmm Geee!!!!….

29 Apr

There IS a LSS in NYC!! I am so freaking excited!!! And they carry A Muse stamps!!!!!!!!! *hyperventilates*

I am so tired of large chain stores like Michael’s and JoAnn’s and ACMoore, who have the same selection all the time. Granted the prices on basics are good, but I have all the basics already so all I want are new stamps! Order online you say?? Sure I could, but the shipping, the waiting, the not being able to touch it first and see the size…and the whole instant gratification thing =) Besides you have to order quite a few things to make up for the shipping and such and sometimes one just can’t afford to drop $50+ at a time =( So to my delight I discovered that there is an amazing stamping store in Manhattan and they have thousands of stamps and ink and papers and classes *hyperventilates again*

The cherry on top is that they carry A Muse stamps and I have had a virtual cart of A Muse stuff I want for 3 weeks now and now I can see it all in person!!! And of course buy one or two things!! I will post what I get when I do go, for now I just wanted to share my excitement =D

Card 3 – Happy Birthday Boss

29 Apr

I love love love this card!! This was for my Boss’s birthday, so I kept it relatively simple. She is female so I added the butterflies to balance out the blue. This is CAS at it’s finest for me. I sort of dislike the bow because I wish it was horizontal, but until I learn how to tie it like that, this will have to do. I also got a little creative with the yellow butterfly. I do not have yellow cardstock yet, and I really really wanted yellow to go with the blue, so I used a paint sample card from Home Depot and it looks great. Word of advice though, it does crack if you try to bend it. Thankfully, the pearl is covering that mistake =)

Card 2 – Congrats!

28 Apr

One of the very first cards I made. It was for a coworker who got admitted to the BAR. Entirely too simple, but I think the DP is pretty enough to hold it’s own. Also, the adorable HouseMouse inside makes it a bit more complex which I really like. Please excuse the awful picture quality. I was still am learning how to get the best lighting, and the fact that I can only do this at night does not help.

The inside. I adore House Mouse and want many many more of these.

Card 1 – Manly/Boyish Birthday

27 Apr

Today I have a new card for you! Boyfriend’s brother-in-law’s birthday is coming up so I made him a card. I was planning on going for a more masculine design, but the man loves cats and is a kid at heart so I went with a more whimsical theme. The blue button was an afterthought touch to cover-up a tiny boo-boo I made with the dots.

Hello!

27 Apr

Hi and welcome to my blog =)

I have always loved crafts and making things at home. Glue and markers send me into a happy dance, colorful paper makes me smile, paint and brushes make me giddy! However, I never had time, money, or space to do anything substantial. This lack of a creative outlet has been making me quite sad for a long time. BUT…about two months ago I stumbled upon a card-making/stamping blog and never left. After days of looking at other people’s amazing creations, I bit the bullet and went to Michael’s and…the rest is history.

I am still very new at this, but I am learning. I do not have too many supplies and I still do not trust my techniques or layouts, but it is getting there. This blog will help me along by letting me see my progress and perhaps get an opinion from others or make some new friends =)

So come on this journey with me and enter my Wonderland!
