Card 15 – Father’s Day Anchor

26 Jun

I decided that my Father’s Day card should be bright and cheery yet masculine. What can be more masculine than an anchor??? Considering that my Daddy does not care for tools, doesn’t drive, or fish, the anchor was perfect because my Dad was a leutenant in the Russian Army. He didn’t sail on ships, but whatever…heheh

So here is the beauty:

Waves were made with some some Basic Grey paper and a scallop punch. The tag was made by cutting out a rectangle and snipping off the 2 corners, then stamped with distress ink that was misted with water prior to stamping. The background was inked with green and blue distress inks and the edge was given a burnt appearance with Vintage Photo distress ink. The anchor was bought at Forever21 as a necklace and attached with Glossy Accents and mini glue dots. I later added tiny type letter in the lower right-hand corner which spelled out “PAPA”.
